Why Stevie started Eatfish

For decades, the British fishmonger has been quietly disappearing.

Supermarket counters replaced the high street fishmonger. Frozen fillets replaced what was landed that morning. A craft passed down for generations was reduced to plastic trays.

After thirty years behind the counter, Stevie Walker founded Eatfish with one mission — to bring the fishmonger back to Britain. Real seafood, real people, sold the way it always should have been.

Stevie knows the boats, the boxes and the cuts. Eatfish brings that counter-quality fish to the home cook — exactly what British kitchens have been missing.

I've sent Stevie home cooks for years. With Eatfish, he can now reach them all — and that's a brilliant thing for Scottish seafood.

Honestly the best fish I've cooked at home. Whole bream arrived spotless, cleaned, and so fresh the eyes were still clear. Dinner in 20 minutes.
