A British coastal harbour at golden hour

Our story

Bringing the fishmonger back to Britain.

For decades, independent fishmongers across Britain have been quietly disappearing.

A craft once on every high street — the man behind the marble counter who knew his fish, his customers, and what was landed that morning — was pushed aside. Supermarket trays. Frozen fillets. Anonymous supply chains that left coastal communities behind and families further from where their food actually came from.

Stevie Walker has spent more than thirty years behind a fish counter. He's watched neighbours stop cooking fish because what was on offer didn't taste of anything. He's watched boats sit empty because no one knew where the catch went anymore.

Eatfish exists to change that. To reconnect British households with the people who know fish best. To put a fishmonger back in your week — even if your nearest one is hundreds of miles away.

Bring the fishmonger back to Britain. That's the whole of it.
— Stevie Walker, founder

We work with day-boat fishermen, support coastal communities, and pay the people who cut your fish for what their craft is worth. We keep the range small, seasonal, and honest. And we deliver to your door, so you don't have to choose between convenience and quality.

Eat well. Eat local. Eat fish.
